Your ticket will be dismissed or reduced in Virginia only if...

You complete the following.

Use an approved driving school

Not all driving schools are approved in the Commonwealth of Virginia, make sure you sign up with the right school. Not a Virginia resident? Make sure you sign up as a non-Virginia resident and that you can take the final test via email. If you don't, you may have to travel to Virginia to take the final test.

Get your certificate.

Be sure to have your driving school mail your certificate directly to you. Most Courts require an original certificate of completion of Driving School (no copies of any kind allowed). You should then mail the certificate to the Court with a tracking number so that you can confirm it was received. Remember it is unlikely the Court will continue the date the certificate is due, so Don't Delay.

Pay your court costs.

Most Courts require the payment of Court costs by a specific date. If you do not pay the cost, the Court will most likely not reduce or dismiss your case. Your payment should be made payable to the court or you can pay online. Remember, if you do not pay the costs, your license might be suspended.

Still not comfortable with all of this?
